Day by day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Arusha
Day 2: Tarangire National park - Big groups of Elephants, big cats
After breakfast depart for Tarangire Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population for game drive, with picnic lunch. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, different antelopes, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, zebras and up to six thousand elephant.
Day 3: Serengeti National park (central)- Big cats experience
After breakfast drive to Serengeti national park for lunch at Serengeti Osinon camp. On the way you will visit a traditional Maasai village to explore these traditional people of East Africa. After lunch you will continue with game drive in Serengeti national park. In the evening you will return to the camp for a hot shower then meat your guide at the fire place. Enjoy a cold drink as your guide gives you a short history about Tanzania history.
Day 4: Serengeti National park (North)
After breakfast you will drive to Serengeti National park, afternoon game drives in North Serengeti along the Mara river exploring the great migration crossing the Mara river. The great migration is supposed to be in this area from July to mid-October crossing the famous Mara river to Maasai Mara reserve in Kenya and back to Serengeti. You will have high opportunity to see them crossing while the crocodiles in the river attack them. The North Serengeti has also lots of big cats, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos and it is another good place to see the endangered black rhino. All meals and overnight will be at Serengeti Mbugani Camp.
Day 5: Serengeti National park (central) - Hunting predators
Early morning game drive in Serengeti national park looking for hunting predators, then return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast you will depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world. In this park you will expect to see most of exciting wildlife like big prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, hippos, crocodiles and many more. In the late afternoon you will return to the camp for a hot shower then meet your guide at the fire place. In a clear night this will be a great opportunity for you to learn about the African night sky as you listen to the different animals sounds in the wild.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater - The endangered black rhino
After an early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro for game drive in the crater, with picnic lunch. In the crater you will mostly be looking for the endangered black rhino. Other animals include prides of lions, spotted hyenas, gazelles, hippos, warthogs’ gazelles, zebras and depending on the season, pink flamingos. In the late afternoon you will continue to Farm of dreams for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will drive to Lake Manyara national park. You will also see giraffes, hippos, elephants and if you are lucky, the famous tree climbing lions, the park has breathless scenery and well famed for its lush tree forest, big figs and mahogany trees, further on a growing
population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park additionally embrace giraffes, elephants, impalas and an enormous quantity of buffaloes.
The lake is additionally home to an oversized range of hippos. Some distinctive facts concerning this park embrace the tree climb lions, flamingos within the lake shore, further because the ground hornbill bird and also the Crested Eagle.
